The firm draws on a multidisciplinary team of lawyers with deep knowledge of both the Togolese and international markets, and on a network of local partners with whom long-standing ties have been built. SCP ELI & PIERRE is able to act swiftly across multiple jurisdictions and to support its clients, as a single point of contact, on transformative investment projects.

Founded by Maîtres Eli-Eli Comlan N'SOUKPOE and Tchaou TCHEKPI on the basis of accreditation Decision No. 005/CO/2017 of the Bar Council of Togo, the firm is admitted to the Lomé Bar. Over the years, Maître Akpéné Amito KPEGBA joined as Senior Partner, and the firm has grown into a team of nine: three Senior Partners, one Associate Lawyer, three Legal Counsel, one Law Clerk and one Secretary.

In 2024, the firm formalised a partnership with VAS Conseil, a legal-tax-investment advisory firm, which refers to SCP ELI & PIERRE the complex matters of its demanding clientele — by construction, evidence of the trust a peer firm places in our practice.

Core practices

Two signatures that distinguish the firm as of May 2026.

The firm has chosen positional honesty: two practices put forward, and only two, because these are the ones we deliver at a genuinely international standard. The rest of our expertise is listed under other practice areas, with no artificial hierarchy.

Our approach

How we work.

Four principles that structure every engagement, from the first meeting to the enforcement of decisions. This transparency is not incidental: it is the very condition of trust.

In-depth case study

Before any quote, the firm reviews the matter in detail. This study is billed if it requires more than two hours, and is credited against fees if the engagement is entrusted to us.

Transparent fees

A written fee agreement is signed before any engagement. Fixed fee, hourly rate or success fee are discussed explicitly, in writing.

Absolute confidentiality

Every exchange with the firm is covered by attorney-client privilege (Article 7 of the Internal Rules of the Lomé Bar). This confidentiality extends to our associates and legal counsel.

Through to enforcement

The engagement does not end at the decision. The firm follows judgments through to enforcement, registration of instruments, lifting of attachments, until effective settlement.

Representative matters

The firm's standing, factually.

Anonymous index of representative matters, by year. Each entry is legally precise but strictly observes attorney-client privilege — no client name, no detail capable of identifying a party.
